Amy regularly advises privately held for profit and not for profit businesses on a wide range of general business matters. Her experience includes:
- preparation, review and negotiation of various agreements including employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, shareholders agreements, limited liability company operating agreements, option agreements, partnership agreements, non compete agreements, non-disclosure agreements, supplier agreements, distributor agreements and licensing agreements.
- planning for and formation of numerous business entities, including limited liability companies, corporations, professional service corporations and professional service limited liability companies.
- forming not-for-profit organizations and assisting not-for-profit organizations in the preparation and filing of federal and state applications for tax exemption and state charities registrations.
- representing clients in regard to the purchase, sale and merger of various types of businesses including an automobile dealership, a construction company, restaurants, gift shops, manufacturers, distributors, insurance agencies, technology companies, physician practices, dental practices, a records storage business, software companies, printing businesses, franchises, a temporary employment business, golf courses and a garbage disposal business.
- advising health care providers in regard to general business issues and compliance issues including the self referral law (Stark), the anti kickback law, HIPAA and the New York State Education Law (fee splitting).
- advising business clients in regard to various employment related matters including hiring and firing, wage and hour issues, employment agreements, non compete agreements and the preparation of employee handbooks.

Bio
Amy grew up in Oswego, New York and has been an attorney at the firm since 2000. She resides in West Henrietta with her husband Ed and their two daughters, Abby and Emma.
