Raquel’s practice focuses on the concerns of small to medium businesses, commercial landlords and tenants, and medical professionals and practices.
Raquel counsels business owners in the negotiation of business sales and mergers, shareholders agreements, and client contracts. She also guides new business owners in the selection and formation of the appropriate business entity such as corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.
Her employment law practice addresses issues of employee termination, employment agreements, wage and overtime issues and taxation.
Raquel’s real estate practice includes the negotiation of commercial leases and subleases as well as residential home purchases and sales. Such transactions include accommodation of environmental regulations, compliance with land use and zoning restrictions, and consideration of tenant and subtentant obligations.
Raquel’s practice also includes the interpretation of medical industry regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare, and the New York State Human Rights and Education laws. She counsels medical professionals in the application of laws relevant to their business decisions, billing practices, and contractual transactions to ensure compliance with industry regulations and statutes.

A Rochester-area native, Raquel regularly participates in community organizations and social groups. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, biking along the Erie Canal, and is an avid woodworker and amateur furniture craftsman.
