We are pleased to announce that our Managing Partner, Peter J. Weishaar, was named to the Rochester Business Journal’s “Power 50 Law List” for 2023.  He was also named to The Daily Record's "Power 20 Litigation List" for 2023.  This is the second time Peter was named to the “Power 50 Law List” and the third time he was named to the “Power 20 Litigation List.”  In announcing the Power 50 list, the Rochester Business Journal noted that:

"The people on this list help make sure the legal needs of Rochester’s companies and residents are met, and they have helped the local legal community adapt to the changes the COVID-19 pandemic caused. They are working to push the Rochester legal community forward during a time of uncertainty and adaptation, and we are excited to see what they are able to accomplish going forward."

Peter joined the firm as a litigation attorney more than 27 years ago.  "The best part about being a litigator is that we get to tell our clients' stories."  As Peter explained, "I enjoy the challenge of trying to find the key fact or just the right case precedent that will support a client’s claim, or finding the right theme to use when putting our argument together, so that we can present the client’s story in a compelling, persuasive fashion.  It is most rewarding for me when I am able to distill a complicated topic down to simple, understandable language."

In 2014, Peter became the firm’s fourth Managing Partner.  As the firm's Managing Partner, he works closely with his colleagues to ensure that the firm continues to build upon its reputation by overseeing and coordinating firm's business development and strategic planning efforts.
